1) 在现今唱片低糜的市场、经济那么不景气、盗版光碟猖狂。。。我们只希望我们会是例外的，即，我们希望我们会创造奇迹、唱片大卖、人人支持正版；不只是为了我们自己，也为了鼓舞所有认真做音乐的音乐人和唱片公司。。。

2) 在很多人的印象中，艺人的形象和生活方式仿佛不太健康。。。我们只希望我们会是例外的，再成名生活也要健康、干净，做歌迷们的好榜样，叫所有的家长都很放心让他们的孩子听我们的音乐。。。

3) 众所周知，音乐的影响力很大，它可以使你快乐或忧伤；可以让你积极或消极；可以让你很正面或很负面。。。我们只希望我们会是例外的，透过我们的音乐让你更快乐、更积极和很正面。。。

所以我们称自己为“例外人”，惟愿能常常提醒自己，我们不只是玩玩音乐，我们还有很重要的任务去完成，希望把祝福带给每一个人。。。

Many people have been very curious about our name “The Remnant”,or in Chinese it means “The Exception” (li-wai-ren). Why are we called such and what is its significance? Let us clear your doubt today…

First of all, please do not misunderstand, it is not intended to be boastful or self-exalting, rather, it is our goal, our dream…

1) The current music industry is facing a very depressing market, bad economy, rampant pirated CDs… All we hope is we will be an exception, we hope we will create a miracle, the albums will sell very well, everyone will support original CDs; not just for ourselves, but also to encourage every serious musician and recording company…

2) Many people tend to have very bad impression of artistes thinking an artiste lives an unhealthy lifestyle… All we hope is we will be an exception, no matter how famous we might become, we must continue to live a clean and healthy lifestyle, be a good example to our fans, that all the parents will be very happy that their children listen to our music…

3) Everyone knows music is very influential, it can make you happy or sad; it can make you optimistic or pessimistic; it can make you very positive or very negative… All we hope is we are an exception that our music will always make you happy, optimistic and very positive…

That is why we call ourselves “The Remnant” or Li Wai Ren, so we will always be reminded that we are not just having fun with music, we have an important mission to accomplish, and we hope to be a blessing to everyone…
