2012让我想起2004。。。 2012 reminded me of 2004…

看到2012电影中海啸的情形，让我想起2004年12月底发生的亚洲海啸惨剧，当时死了几十万人。。。
我无法想象眼睁睁看着海啸就在你面前冲向你的情景和感觉。。。
大概2005年三月份左右吧，我们教会几个人到了印尼亚齐一个被海啸完全摧毁的一个村庄。。。古晋的一些教会联合起来为他们重新建立家园，盖了至少五十间房子。。。
闲暇时跟小孩们唱唱歌、玩游戏，帮助他们走出海啸的伤痛和阴影。。。
While watching the tsunami situation in the movie 2012, I thought of the actual Asian tsunami that happened at the end of December 2004, tens of thousands of people died in that tragedy…
I cannot imagine the situation and feeling of watching with your open eyes a tsunami rushing towards you…
It must be round about March 2005 when a few from our church went to a village completely destroyed by the tsunami in Acheh, Indonesia… Some churches in Kuching gathered together to help them rebuild their homes, the churches contributed towards at least 50 houses…
During our free time we would sing and play games with the children to help them forget the tsunami and walk out of this traumatic memory…

别看他们天真活泼，他们可在海啸中丧失了家园。。。右边靠在我背上这位男孩家里失去至少三个成员，妈妈和两位兄弟来不及逃生。。。
Don’t be misled by their innocent and cute looks, they had actually lost their families in the tsunami…
The little boy leaning on my back to the right lost at least three family members, his mum and two siblings were not in time to escape…

这位是他同村生存的几位小孩之一。。。难得见他们重展笑容。。。
This is one of the surviving children from their village… so good to see them smile again…

那天要启程往亚齐几乎去不成。。。因那天早上我睡到凌晨四点多时惊醒，感觉背部有什么东西跑进来。。。
朦胧中还以为是电线。。。可是不对劲！电线怎么会莫名其妙跑进我衣服内，而且还会动！
我急忙跳起身来，开了灯，一手抓住我背后衣服内的东西不许它继续爬动。。。然后小心翼翼也觉得很恶心的把衣服脱掉，不知道到底是什么东西爬进来！脱了衣服，我很快的把衣服丢在地上，看到这只东西爬出来！
I almost could not make it to Acheh that day… because that morning I was rudely awakened at about 4am when I felt something crawled into my back…
As I was still in a daze, I thought it was some wire… but something is not right! How would a wire crawl into my back by itself for no reason, and this thing could move!
I quickly jumped out of bed, switched on the light, with one hand I caught hold of whatever was in my shirt on my back to stop it from moving further… then very carefully, also feeling rather uncomfortable I took off my shirt as I did not know what actually crawled in!
As soon as I took off my shirt, I threw it on the floor and this thing crawled out!

一只蜈蚣！！可想象我有多惊慌吗？我赶忙再用衣服把它盖起来，就用了“杀鸡用牛刀”的力气在衣服上胡乱踩跳，一直到我觉得东西已经没动静了。。。
A centipede!! Can you imagine my shock and panic? I quickly took my shirt to cover it again, and used the strength that would kill a lion to start crazily jumping up and down stepping on my shirt till I felt the thing did not move anymore…

果然死了！  蛮大只的吧？（那是我的左手）
Yes, it’s finally dead! Quite a big one, right? ( That is my left hand )

被蜈蚣咬到非常危险的，更何况这么大只的！我高二到海边旅游时也曾在凌晨睡到一半被蜈蚣咬而惊醒，那时是咬了我的胸口，比这只还要小，却是痛苦不堪！试想想如果那天被这只咬了，我还能去亚齐吗？恶者想阻挡我去服事神，但感谢主，上帝亲自保守他的仆人！正如马可福音16章18节说的，为主传福音的人“手能拿蛇；若喝了什么毒物，也必不受害。。。”
It is very dangerous to be bitten by a centipede, let alone one so big! When I was in Form 5, I was awakened once also by a centipede’s bite at dawn while picnicking at a seaside. That time the centipede was smaller and it bit on my chest and it caused excruciating pain! Imagine I was bitten that day by this one, could I still go to Acheh? The evil one treid to stop me from going to serve God but thank God, our Good Lord personally protected His servant! Just as Mark 16:18 says with regard people who spread the Gospel of the Lord, “they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all…”
